About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant for immediate employment in the Santa Barbara, CA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Track budgets and assist Project Manager with financial management of the project with emphasis on "Project Controls" and financial understanding
  • Produce weekly and monthly financial project updates
  • Document meeting minutes and action items during project calls and meetings
  • Update, manage and track project compliance using dedicated SharePoint site
  • Provide support for all project deliverables and QMS requirements

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Knowledge of project management functions, professional accounting, and business practices
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office-based proprietary programs, and ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets and documents
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in related field
  • 2 years' experience in opening new and modifying existing project set ups and project budgets, reviewing financial terms in contracts, tracking project budgets, preparing client invoices, reviewing subcontractor/vendor invoices, creating financial reports, and assisting Project Manager with project controls and other administrative tasks (i.e., preparing for project audits, providing monthly labor reports, etc.)
  • Past experience in supporting role in the financial management industry
  • Environmental consulting industry experience
