Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Manager - Architectural / Engineering for immediate employment in the Roanoke, VA office. Our B P team is leading the industry with visionary and forward-thinking projects such as the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, CA; Liberty Park at the World Trade Center, New York, NY; the Lower Manhattan Coastal Resilience (Big U), NY; and the LA 2024 Olympic bid.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • The PM will be responsible for the day to day project and client management for multi- discipline architectural and engineering design services for buildings and facilities projects and teams from the initial planning through construction phase
  • Work with the project Principal-in-Charge throughout all phases of the project to obtain client satisfaction and financial project performance
  • In conjunction with the Principal-in-Charge, successfully develops strategy, prepares proposals, negotiates contracts, and executes project(s)
  • May include management of teams across business lines, in remote locations and/or management of subcontractors
  • Other responsibilities include business development and marketing support for proposals and presentations
  • Portfolio of work across a wide variety of project sizes with a focus on Department of Defense work
  • Facilitates team communication, coordination and collaboration to support assigned projects
  • Collaborator and mentor
  • Experience in design build and other alternate delivery methods
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Communications with clients and project teams which will include public agencies, development and management of project schedules and budgets, and quality assurance

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering
  • 8 years of experience within an architectural and/or engineering position with 5 years of experience managing multi-discipline architectural engineering building and facilities projects
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect
  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Project management experience on full service architectural engineering projects for the U.S. Department of Defense
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites globally to support assigned projects - Travel estimated at 10 to 15%, but will vary based upon project requirements

Preferred Qualifications
The following preferred items are a plus but not required to be considered
  • LEED Accreditation

  • PMP Certification
  • DOD Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one
