About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
AECOM is looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our Environment Business Line in either Mackay or Rockhampton. You will be a strong Environmental "all-rounder" with significant experience as a terrestrial ecologist / botanist. As part of this professional / senior professional level role, you will undertake environmental impact assessment and vegetation surveys, including threatened flora surveys in accordance with DEHP Protected Plant Guidelines. You will prepare environmental impact assessment documentation and be confident in presenting these findings as part of referral applications to environmental authorities.
As a technical specialist in your field, you will provide advice on flora and vegetation management obligations and contribute to impact assessments as part of the wider environmental approvals process. You will manage small to medium sized assignments and utilise your commercial aptitude to play an active role in winning projects.
This position is available to be based in the AECOM office in either Mackay or Rockhampton.
• Tertiary Qualifications in Environmental Science (or similar)
• Botanical Ecology study highly regarded
• Current Class C drivers licence
