About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
AECOM's London, ON office is seeking a self-motivated Water Resources Engineer. We offer the opportunity to work on significant projects and the opportunity to have superior leadership and mentorship. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of transportation water resources projects that include stormwater management, hydrology, and hydraulics.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using engineering calculations and computer models
  • Design storm water systems, hydraulic structures and related facilities
  • Prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents
  • Write reports and technical briefs to document analyses and designs
  • Responsible for projects including communicating with client, meetings, completing technical analysis, preparing reports, designs in support of the senior WR staff and cross business line project managers
  • Understand and research issues related to water resources that impact individual projects

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Water Resource engineering
  • NA in Ontario or eligibility to apply for it
  • 4 years of experience in stormwater management, flood control and water resources engineering in a consulting environment
  • Strong ArcGIS and / or Civil3D skills
  • Strong capability to develop and apply various sanitary and stormwater modeling programs e.g. HEC-RAS, SWMM, SWMHYMO, VISUAL OTTHYMO InfoWorks
  • Sound understanding of the application water resources principles to design
  • Strong computer skills including advanced working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Must possess excellent organizational, communication and writing skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2D hydraulic modelling e.g. HEC5, Mike21
  • 5 years of experience in water resources
  • Previous work experience in a consulting environment in Ontario
