About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
The Water Business Unit of AECOM is actively seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Atlanta office. The successful candidate will work with other AECOM and client staff to support specific and key project initiatives. This position is contingent upon award of contract.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
  • Provides office and clerical support including preparation of correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and slide presentations, receipt and distribution of incoming and outgoing documents, and related duties including entering documents into project SharePoint sites
  • Provides administrative assistant and clerical support with regards to supplies/purchases to support project teams
  • Works with AECOM vendors to support the office
  • Receives and files all incoming and outgoing documentation
  • Prepares and maintain files in accordance with project procedures
  • Maintains the final project archive documents per client and AECOM requirements
  • Collects daily reports and maintains the Daily Report Log as necessary
  • Assists in special reports as requested by Water Business Unit staff and Project Team

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 years administrative service experience
  • Experience in filing systems, meeting minutes, RFI/Submittal and other Project logs and management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Professional Office Suite including: Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with project management software systems
  • Must be detail oriented, thorough, well organized and effectively manage time
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-energy environment and be able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Must possess a background to understand the terminology used in the office environment on a daily basis
  • Must be flexible and able to work in a very fast paced work environment and at times under the pressure of meeting critical deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8 years of administrative service experience
  • Previous experience on engineering or technical projects
