Overview :
National contractor who currently are turning over £90m+ annually are looking for a strong civil biased Contracts Manager for their North West based office.

As the main contractor this company are involved with all things Civil & Infrastructure and projects range from £1m - £30m. Types of work are typically but not limited to: Industrial buildings, Wind Farms, Process, Highways, Concrete Structures and General Infrastructure

Reporting to the Contract Director this role will have you overseeing 3 - 4 sites with a total value of generally around £20m. You will have worked on projects no less that £3m and have experience managing multiple contracts at one time.

Job Duties:
Previous experience of managing civil engineering contracts is essential as the successful candidate will have significant responsibility for ensuring that our project is completed on time, on budget and to the highest standard.

We also expect the post holder to ensure strict compliance with legislation and our internal policies and procedures, particularly relating to health and safety, environmental and quality control.

• Plan and prioritise workload to achieve service delivery
• Attend monthly financial contract review meetings
• Responsible for financial performance of contracts and maximise
• To be responsible for the invoicing and payment process
• Flexible in attitude and aptitude
• Development of strategies to fully maximise the benefits available from
the utilisation of directly employed and subcontractors
• Monthly meetings with both senior management and client
• Ensure all monthly reports and forms are completed
• Responsible for developing client relationships to ensure retention of
contract and future opportunities
• Overall responsibility for portfolio of contracts in relation to
performance both financially and in line contract requirements
• Manage a team of workforce with an element of administration and
subcontractor management
• Ensure clear communication with workforce, customers, line
management, office support staff, subcontractors and third party
• Provide technical and admin support to the client and support staff
• Responsible for delivery of services in line with contract KPI's/SLA's
• Responsible for the undertaking of quality assurance inspections on a
predetermined amount of all works delivered and record
• Report training needs within team
• Maintain and improve effective working relationships with colleagues,
clients, customers and work as part of a team
• Deal courteously with clients, customers and the general public to
maintain and enhance the reputation of Kier
• Overall responsibility for ensuring the auditing of records of all work
carried out on plant and equipment within the site manuals both hard
copies and electronic
