Salary £35,000 - £45,000 Car allowance, Pension, Private Medical Cover, Life Assurance Scheme.


We have been retained by two of our most prominent clients to find them each a Quantity surveyor with commercial acumen for a £30m project just north of Aberdeen or a £50m project close to Aberdeen.

Reporting to the senior Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor or project Commercial Manager will provide running and commercial management of the projects. The roles requires accurate management through reporting and decision making regarding on-site activities. Other roles will involve assisting with procurement, management of sub contract packages, labour only packages and suppliers.

You will be adaptable to the various project demands and capable of working to and achieving targets. An ability to report on the current and forecast cost and profit and loss position of the project and an ability to control and forecast costs are essential.

You are suited for the role if you have:


a firm understanding of contracts and contractual relationships.

at least 5 years Experience as a Quantity Surveyor .

JCT / NEC (main contract conditions) - project experience working with and applying contract conditions either directly with the main contractor or in sub-contract scenarios.

a strong ability to present viewpoints with confidence and clarity. Soundly structured with pros and cons put forward with supporting evidence.

great people managing skills i.e. able to get through to the core issues. Presents case in a persuasive manner. Expressing and presenting thoughts and complex ideas clearly and succinctly. Adapts language or terminology to the characteristics and needs of the audience.

strong ability with measurement and site administration procedures.
