About the role

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Planning Manager to join our team to work in Cheadle.

What you'll be doing:

This is an exciting opportunity and the successful candidate will become responsible for managing teams and implementing the tender and or/project procedures ensuring compliance with the business management system.

The role will be responsible for:
*Support Planning Leadership in deployment of the change programme within a Sector, Sub Sector, Region or Delivery Unit
*Ensure compliance to the planning BMS
*Support the production and delivery of the Planning Development Programme, as required
*Share best practice and innovation
*Assist with the development of all planning team staff to reach their full potential;
*Assist with coaching and supporting project planners, as required
*Manage Tender Planning & Project Planning activities as required

Who we're looking for:
*Considerable, in-depth experience of planning services within large complex environments within the construction and engineering industry
*Extensive experience in coaching, mentoring and developing others and of self- development
*Be advanced in the use of planning techniques and the required planning toolsets
*Advanced understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications.
*Advanced understanding of various methods of planning, programming and progress monitoring.
*Advanced understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference to planning/programming.
*Advanced understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, delay or change entitlement.
*Relevant CSCS Card
