IT Systems Developer / Technician
Develops and provides Business Intelligence data and analysis relating to the performance of the Company. Records and monitors materials inventory at all stages of the operation and produce reports as required.
Maintain the records and reports necessary to support the Quality Management Systems across the Company. Develops and maintains IT systems for the purposes of process development, material accounting and quailty control systems.
Maintains records of all incoming and outgoing materials, their processing and related losses. This includes concentrate receipts, finished product, reverted material, waste streams and material for secondary processing.
Generates and maintains the stock inventory.
Develops new workflows in LIMS to improve process throughputs and efficiency.
Develops new Business Intelligence capabilities to inform the business of key threats and opportunities.
Provides Business Intelligence analysis by linking multiple databases to develop key operational and strategic reports as required for accounting, stock control, stock reconciliation, security and other purposes including those used in producing the monthly financial balance sheet.
Produces adhoc operational reports as required through the development of SQL code.
Provides IT systems administration functions to key line of business applications.
Maintains and develops local IT systems including LabWare LIMS, Electronic Document Management System and others using a variety of programming languages and techniques (including VB and SQL).
Maintains and develops enhancements to the systems used for managing the records for necessary for ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001 accredited quality systems. Undertakes auditing function as requested.
Responsible for arranging and recording the calibration of all certificated equipment necessary to retain quality accreditation.
Produce regular reports summarising operational performance both overall and by individual key unit stages. Provide feedback on that performance to identify any threats or opportunities to the production operations.
Carries out regular physical stock checks to confirm accuracy of records and deal with ad-hoc enquiries relating to stock and process performance.
Assist in preparation activities for stocktaking, on the day activities and in the calculation of the stock take result.
Liaise with external companies on technical support issues to resolve software / equipment failures
Provides other administrative / technical support to the Technical department and the wider refinery as required.
Works with migrating legacy applications including Access databases and Excel sheets to modern corporate systems.
Continuous Improvement - Demonstrate support in developing a culture of continuous improvement at Acton Refinery.
Produces figures used to generate financial statement and inventory of precious metals valued at in excess of
Supports accreditation and auditing of Quality Systems OHSAS 18001 ISO 14001 and ISO 17025
Minimum level of education required by the position
Mandatory Certification (i.e. NA, CMA, CA, etc.): OHSAS / ISO Training
Preferred Certification: Microsoft Access/VBA
Minimum years of experience required to perform this position: 1-2 years
