They are offering the opportunity to work within their dedicated SCRUM teams and allow a candidate to demonstrate their capability, creativity and ability to deliver robust solutions alongside the opportunity to learn and apply new skills.
Our client is looking to increase their development team with an experienced T-SQL Report Writer, with a minimum of 2 year's industry experience writing complex T-SQL logic and ideally some prior experience of using Crystal Reports.
The team is already creative and forward thinking, comprising of Quality Analysts, Product Owners and software development professionals and the role will be accountable for producing high quality deliverables.
As a member of a cross functional SCRUM team you will be expected to attend and contribute during all SCRUM ceremonies and assist the team with the refinement and planning of sprint work.
Develop high quality TSQL stored procedures and present them to the end user via a reporting tool.
Analyse and develop complex TSQL reporting logic.
Work closely with the Quality Analysts within the team to help ensure reports are delivered on time with high quality deliverables.
Work with the team to refine business requirements and break them down into user stories as part of an open, collaborative and cross-functional team.
Minimum of 2 years' industry experience in advanced TSQL programming for report writing, with the ability to do the following:
Program logic using variables and parameters
Program complex report flows using TSQL flow statements (Cursors, Loops and If statements)
Use and create custom TSQL functions
Data cleansing using temporary tables and CTEs
Debug complex TSQL featuring all of the above
TSQL query optimisation
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Willingness to apply thorough test processes
Demonstrable passion for software development
As a SQL Developer you will normally work Monday to Friday 09:00 -17:30, 40 hours per week or the hours necessary to complete tasks.
