The role:
You will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping build and develop the automated testing framework from the ground up. You will help us to write and execute comprehensive test cases using modern test frameworks from defined use cases. You will work closely with our development team to help us to build the technologies that will reshape the energy system. You will need to have a keen eye for detail and willingness to explore that ensures quality to be delivered as a matter of routine.

Skills and Experience:

- Good degree in a relevant technical discipline (Computer Science, Physics, Maths or Engineering).
- Proven experience in test automation, test harness creation and use of modern test frameworks (for example: Python, Junit, JMeter, Jenkins, Siesta, Cucumber, Selenium, TestLink).
- Experience of testing a wide range of scenarios including user interfaces, client-server platforms and embedded systems.
- Testing software written in core Java (as opposed to Android-type Java).
- Knowledge of using Linux command line and some (bash) scripting.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. git) and ideally code collaborations systems such as Gerrit.
- Understanding of interacting with and testing SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience in writing test scripts and associated documentation.
- Have worked in an agile, dev-test-style environment as part of a team.

- Experience of debugging network traffic configuration (for example Wireshark)
- ISTQB Foundation
- A minimum of three years of industry experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills, motivation, attention to detail and be a self-starter.
