Your new company
Your new company are a multi site FMCG manufacturing business that supply branded products to a number of countries around the globe. They have just relocated to a purpose built, brand new, heavily automated site in Wigan to be able to maintain increased production levels. The company have been manufacturing since the 1950's and continue to have strong orders moving forward which brings with it continual expansion of their portfolio and internal progression of its teams.
Your new role
As a maintenance engineer you will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance of production machinery. Whilst there is some reactive maintenance that requires quick, effective attention the company follow a vigorous planned maintenance schedule. You will be required to contribute to this in order to keep machinery effectively producing at maximum output levels. The machinery is automated with Allen Bradley systems and therefore you will be required to fault find on these systems. You will work a continental shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off).
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be electrically biased with some good mechanical knowledge and skills. You MUST come from a manufacturing background in order to be considered for this role. Ideally you will be qualified to HNC level and hold a 17th edition certificate. You will also need to be an energetic team player.
