An International leader in rail infrastructure engineering is looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their thriving depot based in Woking. Offering a basic salary of £28-£32k plus you will also receive a number of benefits including 23 days holiday, company van, pension and substantial Overtime. Working a predominantly days shift pattern you will be responsible for servicing Heavy Machinery for the Rail Industry.

Reporting to the Depot Manager, the successful Mobile Plant Fitter will be responsible for delivering safe and effective servicing and repair the company`s fleet of Heavy Machinery in order to deliver 24/7 track, engineering and overhead catenary works.

The successful Mobile Plant Fitter will be responsible for:

- Undertaking Scheduled servicing, fault diagnosis and repair Heavy Rail Plant Machinery
- Attend major faults and breakdowns on Heavy Machinery across the Wessex and Sussex areas
- Working within a close-knit team who thrive on operational success
- Adhering to a Safety Critical Assessment Process for performing maintenance on all machinery while ensuring all internal and external policies are adhered to during operational tasks

Some Equipment includes:

- Diesel Engines

- Pneumatic Braking Systems

- Hydraulics

- Pneumatics

- Low Voltage Electrical Systems


The successful candidate will have:

- Either served a recognised apprenticeship or have a minimum level 3 Certificate or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
- Have experience working with heavy plant machinery or other vehicles` such as HGV`s, Agricultural Machinery or dozers/diggers
- You will obtain strong fundamental Mechanical Skills
- Ideally have basic electrical knowledge such as low voltage or PLC systems
