This is an exciting opportunity for a cargo superintendent to join an enthusiastic team delivering Energy and Waste Services to a wide range of clients across the UK with the UK's number one testing, inspection and compliance company.
Client focused and quality driven, we are a leading provider of Cargo inspection, sampling and analysis. Now we need a cargo superintendent to carry out supervision and sampling of discharge from vessels. Carrying out draught surveys measurements to allow calculation of weight of cargo will also be required. Your challenge will include:
Take readings and measurements to allow draught surveys to be carried out
Monitor and record all activities, operational or environmental, to allow full report on discharge to be issued
Take samples in accordance with the relevant standards throughout the discharge where necessary
Adhere to Health and Safety regulations in line with ESG and the requirements of the Port
We're looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work alone and as part of a team. Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:
Previous draught survey or cargo superintendence experience preferred but not essential
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and working knowledge of excel
Ability to work under pressure maintaining excellent accuracy and attention to detail
People management skills
