Parts Specialist - Maintenance & Repair - Heavy Machinery|
A global powerhouse within it's sector, offering all types of products and services within the construction industry are now looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. The client is a true market leader, a Multi Billion £ turnover, a group who knows no limits. They pride themselves on the world class service they provide to their clients but ultimately it is the quality of their products and equipment which differentiates them within the market place.
To develop, present, negotiate, implement, analyse, review and amend site based maintenance contracts. Update other operating cost calculations to support machine sales and service operations in the territories.
Develop and update Life cycle costing data using client software
Develop maintenance package proposals for any customer in any business unit based on the requirements in tenders, from discussions with sales staff or customers directly
Present maintenance packages to internal and external customers
Negotiate contract scope, terms and values with customers
Explain and document the maintenance strategy used in developing the rates
Update and maintain Total cost of ownership models
Update and develop other calculators for other owning and operating costs
Provide cash flow and profitability forecasts for any proposed contracts.
Develop and manage repair option projects for all sectors of the business.
Modify and develop files detailing when each component of a machine will be changed and its cost
Develop man hour requirements for carrying out each task
Develop parts required details, for each rebuild or repair of a component and machine system
Develop inclusions and exclusions for repair options with detailed pricing
Provide the estimated machine down time for each task to be carried out
Understand and include the ability to change pricing factors for labour and parts for contracts
Identify the scope of work required by each contract operation, negotiate this with the end users where needed.
Calculate the staff needed for each contract and build organisational charts and costings based on the relevant shift patterns and scope.
Working with client's legal department agree contract terms and conditions applicable to each contract
Develop tooling, vehicle and equipment lists and costs for each contract
Develop a full cash flow and profitability forecast for each project.
Develop pricing and information tables as required for each section of a contract.
Develop job descriptions for each member of the contract operating team
Negotiate all parts and sections of the contract with end users.
Interview staff for contract positions
Manage contract documents
Provide maintenance strategy details to all site management and explain the strategy
Work with suppliers to provide tooling, special vehicles and equipment, work with shipping agencies where needed to ship equipment to remote sites.
Provide, monitor and manage accurate time limes on machine deliveries and contract start up
Work with local client service departments on local staff selection, training and processes for implementation and operation.
Work with local client parts departments on parts and component stocking lists, parts stock ramp up and sourcing of any non OEM consumables
Carry out monthly analysis of each contract extracting and analysing the cost versus revenue for each piece of equipment being maintained
Carry out analysis of any management fees to ensure the contract remain profitable and any excess expenses are identified and remediation plans put in place
Liaise with local finance teams regarding cost allocations and suspense account provisions.
Provide feedback to the project managers and in-territory management on contract status and likely outcomes.
Compare estimated component rebuild costs with actual cost and update original costing fields to reflect the changes.
Update other calculation and analysis data bases for such as Oil consumption, Undercarriage usage, ground engaging tool usage and truck body life.
Carry out on site maintenance audits.
Develop and implement best practices for managing maintenance contracts
Package & Benefits
For this Contracts Manager position you can expect the following package -
£45,000-£50,000 Basic depending on experience + Performance related Bonuses
