We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Manager to join the management team of an energy from waste power plant in Plymouth, Devon. This new station, using proven gasification technology, will produce electrical power from biomass waste.
Energy from waste is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK's power industry offering highly secure & lengthy careers. With commissioning beginning there couldn't be a better time to join this company at the start of this exciting project.
Reporting to the Plant Manager the Maintenance Manager will initially be responsible for final Commissioning of site. Once fully operational you will ensure the safe & efficient maintenance of the plant, help manage the safety & environmental performance of the plant & ensuring it is operating in accordance with environmental legislation. Helping to implement / develop the site CMMS & PPM schedules, bringing new ideas & measures in order to improve safety, performance, reliability & efficiency.
To be considered for this position you will need to have a recognised qualification in Engineering, ideally mechanical or electrical. A background in maintenance operations within a relevant industry (heavy process, energy from waste, power generation) is essential. Candidates from CCGT, coal & oil fired power stations will also be considered as will those with an ex-forces marine / engineering background.
This is a days based role & salary is up to £50,000 plus benefits
