If you are passionate about engineering, hardworking, and driven to succeed then we have a rare opportunity for a someone to start a career in Engineering as an Applications Engineer within Air Conditioning/Cooling and Heating manufacturer.|
What will you be doing in the role?
The right person will receive training to learn to the products and how to deal with requests for quotations, leading to using the company's in-house product selection software to produce the quotation. You will get involved with customer site visits, supporting sales reps and customers with technical support/information, process orders, help with sales literature, and assist with product training and presentations.
This would suit someone with strong communication skills and is confident dealing/speaking with people at all levels, able to quickly learn and process technical information. In addition to this, you will need good written English and good numeracy skills, as well as being confident on computers although training will be given on their in house systems.
Salary info: Depending on your experience, the salary level will be £18000 - £25000, they are close to central Havant with easy access from the motorway and free onsite parking, other benefits include 25days holiday + Bank Holidays, Flexi start option, contributory pension (with this comes Life Cover), ½ day on Fridays.
What do you need to apply?
The recruiting manager, Mike, is happy to consider self-motivated people who have recently finished an engineering/technical degree, HNC/BTEC or Apprenticeship. In addition to your Engineering qualification you will need to have experience in a customer facing role or within customer services (e.g. over the phone), although this does not need to be within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Your role will involve some travel to customer sites in the future so you will need to have a Full UK Driving licence (although a car is not needed right away). For more experienced Engineers, some knowledge of M&E building services would be required or experience in HVAC design or installation (can be hands on), you will also need to have worked in a role where you dealt with customers.
