Job Title - Commercial Manager|
Location - Manchester or Birmingham
Rates - £300-£400
About the role / project:
To provide post-contract commercial management of medium value/medium risk activity and support pre-contract activity within the Project delivery team's scope of work, providing specialist commercial advice, guidance and recommendations to mitigate commercial risks.
What you will do:
Working under the Plain Line Track Renewals programme.
(Depot) Commercial Manager responsible for:
* Managing cost reporting
* Evaluation of contractor applications and processing payment certificates
* Contract guidance to depot delivery teams
* Producing estimates
* Dealing with contract variations
* Raising requisitions/PO's for materials, external companies going in to work on site, etc.
Your experience will include:
* Rail industry experience would be desirable
* Experience of client and contractor management
* Excellent MS Excel skills as reporting is required
* Excellent MS Word skills as writing contractual letters is required
* Contract management
* A Quantity Surveying background is desirable however not essential
* A law background would be desirable
