Job Title - Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer|
Salary - £38,000
Shift - 4 on 4 off
Location - Milton Keynes
My Client is the largest manufacturer of their product worldwide with over 10 sites in the UK alone. They produce around 10 million of their product a week and it is clear to see why they are number one. Once their product has been produced it then gets loaded onto their own lorries and shipped out to their customers such as Arla and Muller +60 other smaller dairies. These lorry trips are made around 40 times a day.
The reason for the role is due to a leaver who has been there over 10 years. They rarely come across leavers within the business.
They have recently installed a new line which is the first of its kind helping to produce more product and minimise waste.
My Client is currently looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to help with breakdowns and PPM's.
As a successful Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be electrically Biased working on a variety of equipment such as conveyors, blow moulding machinery, testers, baggers, chillers and more. Any breakdowns need to be responded to as soon as possible due to the high volume of their production.
On Day one you will be shadowing another engineer and after a month you will be required to carry out your own tasks working off your own initiative.
The correct Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer must have/be the following:
* A good understanding of PLC's (including fault finding)
* An electrical or mechanical qualification
* Have 5 or more years in the FMCG background
* A can do attitude and willing to get "stuck in"
My client is looking for someone who is willing to dive in and get their hands dirty. If you come from a FMCG background, I would be very keen on talking to you but I will not rule out people from a different industry.
