We are currently recruiting a C&I Maintenance Technician to join the maintenance team of an energy from waste power plant in Plymouth, Devon. This new station, using proven gasification technology, will produce electrical power from waste that would otherwise have gone to landfill.
Energy from waste is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK's power industry offering highly secure & lengthy careers. With commissioning beginning there couldn't be a better time to join this company at the start of this exciting project.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the C&I Maintenance Technician will be responsible for planned & preventative maintenance across the site, responding to breakdowns & conducting PLC controls maintenance on heavy process plant / power generating equipment (conveyors, pumps, motors, etc.) to help ensure that the plant runs at optimum capacity with minimal downtime.
To be considered for this position you will need to have a recognised apprenticeship / HNC / ONC in Electrical Engineering, Controls or similar. Maintenance experience required from within a relevant industry (power generation, energy from waste, waste management, heavy process). Candidates from CCGT, coal & biomass power stations will also be considered as will those with an ex-forces background.
There is a salary £36,000 to £40,000 plus benefits with this day shift role
