Meets with gas storage Operators to review their field (downhole) operations and associated well records. Makes a standardized assessment for each well to include review of daily drilling and/or workover reports, well logs (cement bond, casing integrity), well tests (including mechanical integrity tests, pressure buildups or falloffs), reservoir modeling, permits, wellbore schematics, wellhead records, and geological records. Assessment will include statements and comments from the engineer regarding a well's current mechanical integrity, missing data or inconsistent records, recommendations for future maintenance, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Major Duties:

      • Perform risk assessments for individual gas storage wells by reviewing well file records. Records could be online or in remote locations.
      • Coordinates gathering of well data from storage field facilities.
      • After reviewing well records and verifying accuracy, provide statements regarding data gaps, necessity of further analysis or testing, or mitigating measures to improve well status.
      • Develops testing or workover plans as necessary.
      • Prioritizes areas of concern for compliance within existing and future regulatory frameworks.
      • Some domestic travel required as necessary.

Job Requirements
BS Petroleum Engineering or equivalent with minimum 10+ years work experience as a Gas Storage Engineer in the oil and gas midstream industry with demonstrated and proven storage expertise including drilling, workover and well integrity assessments. Must have familiarity with DOT/PHMSA, FERC, and various State and Local regulatory processes. Ability to interact with executives as well as field facility management is important.

Preference will be given to qualified local candidates
