General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Java Software Engineer to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to develop software for the cutting-edge technology integrated into the Enterprise Mission Management Toolkit (eMTK).
eMTK is an open commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) based workflow framework that provides intelligence life-cycle management services across the tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) enterprise. As a modular, flexible and scalable solution, eMTK tailors to a variety of mission needs, from activity-based intelligence analysis to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR).
The position provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to build and further advance GDMS software systems and applications. GDMS is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join our team who desires a creative and challenging work environment using cutting edge technologies on GEOspatial INTelligence (GEOINT) programs.
Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of software systems and applications, and the ability to effectively manage, grow and evolve General Dynamics Mission Systems software solutions.
The Java Software Engineer position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer or Software Engineering or a equivalent field and two to five years of related experience; or Master's degree and six to eight years of related experience.
The successful candidate must have experience working with the following:
Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
