About the Business Line
We provide professional services in areas such as aviation, transit, freight rail, highways and bridges, planning, and ports and marine. Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a Construction Project Records Manager for immediate employment in the Houston, TX office. This position will include field site visits to project offices. Work locations will be from your home, project site, and some home office. This is a part-time variable position, meaning work days and times will be determined on an as-needed basis.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage and train book keepers and inspectors on means and methods on maintaining construction management construction records; this work requires close coordination with the client and contractor
  • Determine and set up filing procedures both electronically and on paper
  • Train staff on book keeping programs such as Site Manager, CAPTRACK, and SharePoint ProjectWise
  • Monitor and review records on a weekly basics
  • Develop, monitor and verify the contractors monthly pay estimates
  • Monitor and ensure all the construction records required are being performed in a timely manner such as (DWR, traffic control inspections, SW3P inspections, Wage Rate Interviews and others that may be required by contract

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • 15 years of construction document procedures for the owners of State or County Department of Transportation
  • 15 years working in the Houston District of TxDOT managing construction documents, including 10 years' experience with working with inspectors, contractors and managers in the field
  • 20 years working with TxDOT
  • Knowledge of Site Manager and Excel
  • Knows Site Manager and TxDOT procedures
  • Understanding of TxDOT bid items, plans and specifications
  • Experience in developing district wide procedures to meet TxDOT Audit procedures
