A rare opportnity for a Chartered Building Surveyor , with a minimum of 2 years PQE, to join the team of this well established, medium sized Consultancy in their North London Office to help maintain and develop their £Billion property portfolio.

The Client:

My client is an independent Commercial Property Consultant, providing a comprehensive service covering all aspects of Commercial Property located throughout the UK - with specialist knowledge of the retail property market nationwide and the South West Commercial Property market including retail, office, industrial, leisure properties and residential /commercial development opportunities. They act on behalf of landlords and tenants including Corporate, Retail, Investment Companies, Lenders and Central and Government sectors.

The Role:

This is a Surveyor/Senior Chartered Building Surveyor role which will involve providing advice on a number of key property related matters including Building Surveys, Contract Administration, Project Management, Fire Reinstatement Valuations, Planned Preventative Maintenance reports and Party Wall matters. Assets will be predominantly commercial although there will be a degree of retail, residential and mixed use investments. These assets are mainly in the London and South-East regions however some overnight travel will be required to undertake inspections as part of larger national portfolios. An additional part of the role will be to maintain and extend existing important client relationships whilst helping to deliver further growth through new mandates.

You will be MRICS and have a minimum of two years post qualification experience. Be a good communicator, be self-motivated and have a good eye for detail and team player. Working Knowledge of building construction, M&E installations and contract management is required. Alongside a proven track record in ensuring business operational and financial targets are met. With excellent attention to detail, and a strong numerical and written ability you are able to write clear, concise reports with well-argued conclusions & recommendations. Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence leading a team are essential in this senior role. As you will be expected to develop and manage client relationships, and assist in the management and overseeing of junior members of the team to ensure the team achieves target and growing the business line.
