Senior Town Planner - Northampton

£30,000 - £40,000 + full benefits package
Penguin are working with an established and expanding strategic land business who due to exceptional growth across their Midlands and North West offices are looking to appoint a Senior Planner to their Head office in Northampton.
The company has an existing portfolio comprising over 1,500 acres of strategic land holdings with an expected development value of over £2 billion, which is expected to receive planning consent for over 30 million sq ft of primarily logistics property over the next four years. In addition, the company has a significant portfolio of current development projects.
The role would include you working with the exiting team on industrial, warehouse, distribution, offices, leisure and retail projects of varying sizes and complexities, taking them from acquisition to disposal.
The position has a demanding workload and the candidate will be working alongside a talented close-knit team on a range of existing planning projects throughout the UK. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
* Experience working on projects across the industrial, warehouse, distribution, offices, leisure and retail sectors taking projects from acquisition to disposal.
* The ability to work both in a team and independently and deliver to challenging deadlines is essential.
* Commitment and a positive approach towards development and strong communication skills to confidently deliver key project messages to a wide audience.
* Confidence to liaise with landowners, local authorities and stakeholders throughout the planning process.
* An ability to provide well reasoned and independent reviews of planning prospects of potential new development sites.
This role is ideally suited to someone looking to develop their careers in an established and expanding strategic land business. The successful individual will hold;
-RTPI accredited degree and/or masters
-A minimum of 5-6 years' experience, preferably within the Private Sector (Consultancy or Land Promoter)
-Membership of the RTPI beneficial, but not essential.
-Previous industrial, warehouse, distribution, offices, leisure or retail experience
