Diagnose for defects in operation, disassemble, repair, replace parts and re-assemble to operating condition all machines, machine tools and mechanical equipment.|
Perform all layout, machining and mechanical operations incidental to tearing down, rebuilding and reconditioning machines and mechanical equipment, except certain operations describe under specific classifications for Millwright; Repairer- Elevator; Repairer - Sewing Machine; Electrician, and other specialized mechanical repair work.
Scrape ways; reline spindles and shafts; scrape and fit bearings; repair and adjust clutches; repair valves, solenoids and cylinders.
Fit precision parts; cut and match gears; change feed and speed control gears; set automatic timing devices; align and balance work and be sure that the completed work is in a safe operating condition.
Specialize in operating tool room and general purpose machine tools to rework worn parts and to make new or replacement parts.
Able to handle/manage hazardous waste from time to time.
Must be U.S. Person as defined in ITAR.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Associates Degree preferred.
8 years of documented experience or Journeyman's card required.
