The Ramp Attendant is responsible for providing a positive and professional first impression of Jet Aviation exhibiting the proper demeanor and service level to arriving and departing aircraft. |
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following
Respond to incoming taxing aircraft, using hand signals to guide the aircraft to and from designated parking areas. Place a carpet and chocks appropriately and extend a pleasant greeting to the passengers and crews.
Assists all passengers with luggage.
Cater to aircraft with ice, coffee, catering and any other necessities.
Must be able to communicate over a hand held radio clearly and correctly.
Have capabilities to operate safely golf carts, rental cars, passenger vehicles, company vehicles.
Must be able to write clearly and grammatically correct.
Work in all types of safe weather.
Must be flexible to work different hours when requested or as needed.
Provide transportation for passengers and aircraft crewmembers to and from the local hotels, restaurants and commercial airline terminals using the company vehicles as needed.
Wash customer vehicles when needed. Also company vehicles cleaned on a daily basis, interior and exterior.
Other duties may be required when requested.
• High school diploma or general education degree, (GED);
Must be able to obtain a Palm Beach International Airport ID Badge
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals.
Ability to define reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of organization.
Since English is the language of aviation, the representative must be able to effectively, proficiently and clearly speak and understand the language.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTERATIONS
A valid Florida drivers license is required
Must be able to pass an FAA required 10year background check as well as a 7 year criminal check as well as have a clean driving record.
