About the Business Line
We provide professional services in areas such as aviation, transit, freight rail, highways and bridges, planning, and ports and marine. Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Change Order Specialist for immediate employment in the Houston, TX office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Receive, record, track, copy, scan, file, and distribute all project correspondence and documents
  • Assist in processing RFI's, submittals and change orders
  • Manage document control, contract document updates and document processing
  • Help coordinate the work of the contractor
  • Any other duties assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • 5 years of experience doing CO for governmental agencies such as TxDOT
  • Ability to understand the contracts and specifications
  • Good plan reading skills
  • Good Understanding scope of the contractors work
  • Basic understanding of critical path method
  • Good knowledge of construction methods to complete the contractor's work
  • Knowledge of how to review and research; pricing, contractor wage rates, equipment cost, escalation, charge days, time suspensions, reimbursable contractors expenses
  • Experienced with negotiating with contractors
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Willing to work the hours need to complete the task in a timely manner
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a good driving record

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 15 years of experience with TxDOT in the Houston Area
