About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
The Water Business Unit of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Municipal Engineer to work in our Municipal Infrastructure group located in Edmonton, AB.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
  • Design of water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater drainage/collection systems and roadways
  • Preparation of engineering drawings and specifications
  • Construction contract administration and overseeing construction field services
  • Check and ensure quality and adherence to standards of work

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water/Wastewater Engineering, Municipal Engineering or related field
  • 10 years of project experience in the design of municipal systems for municipal clients, including water/wastewater distribution/collection, civil earthworks, drainage, roadway (urban and rural) through all project phases including planning, design, tender, and contract administration.
  • Professional Engineer registered in Alberta
  • Experience in working for municipalities and public sector clients as an engineering consultant including strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and lead multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • 20 years of experience in municipal projects, including 5 years of experience in leading multidisciplinary project teams
  • PMP designation
  • Experience in working with private sector and Federal Government clients
  • Strong skills in proposal writing, business development and client liaison
