About the Business Line
We create comprehensive delivery solutions for water, wastewater and wet weather systems, desalination, water resources, water reuse, tunneling, and community infrastructure through traditional and alternative delivery services such as program management and design-build.

Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Wastewater Treatment Engineer III for immediate employment in the Buffalo office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare water and wastewater process calculations
  • Prepare Hydraulic calculations
  • Prepare or direct preparation of reports, specifications, designs and construction schedules
  • Observe construction to monitor progress and assesses conformance to engineering plans, specifications and construction standards
  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusting working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Apply QA/QC requirements to own work and work of project team

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Engineer in Training/Engineering Intern certification
  • 5 years of experience in relevant civil engineering; including project management and task management experience
  • Knowledge of data collection methods, data review, and preparation of scientific/engineering documents required
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Capable of summarizing investigation findings and field methods
  • Strong communications skills are required as the successful candidate will work with scientists/engineers, project managers, and clients in the execution of projects
  • Proficient with spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (Examples include software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, Microstation, GIS, hydrologic/hydraulic models)
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer
  • OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPER supervisor certification
