Frontline Recruitment Nottingham are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis for a prestige client based in NG16 area of Nottingham.

To ensure all plant and equipment is maintained and repaired, as appropriate, to ensure that it remains fully operational at all times; To identify and implement process and machine developments & install infrastructure to enable current and planned plant to operate.

•Enforcement of safety rules and policies
•Ensure the BS EN ISO 9100, BS EN ISO 14001, BS EN 9100 are complied with in all areas of responsibility.
•To understand, implement, maintain and develop the group preventative maintenance policies
•To ensure that all machinery and equipment (specifically electrical) is maintained to a safe standard, giving due regard to any legislation regarding health and safety, and reporting any faults immediately to line management.
•To carry out emergency repairs, outside of normal office hours.
•To ensure monthly maintenance schedules are completed satisfactorily and where possible to use the data to predict failures and rectify them before they occur
•To ensure that all equipment is operated in a safe manner and report any deviations immediately to line management
•To ensure that security at the premises is improved and maintained for the benefit of the company. Identify and ensure availability of critical spares.
•To maintain confidential any information regarding the design and operation of machinery and equipment
•To catalogue existing and new tools and equipment
•To identify cost effective solutions to process requirements by discussion with individuals, their line management and appropriate experts
•To ensure that any tools or plant is purchased in line with the company purchasing policy
•To assume direct responsibility for activities of staff while they are carrying out maintenance or process improvement work thus ensuring safe working and compliance with COSHH and H&S regulations
Process Improvement
•To lead a continuous improvement initiative focusing on product improvement through machine improvements and developments
•To design, develop and introduce manufacturing process improvements.
•To carryout process improvement projects such as: creep / inch facility on triple roll mill, roll logging on grey and blue line by the Beta gauges etc
•To maintain a general awareness of external machinery developments and recommend future developments with are likely to benefit the company
•Design and install refrigeration & air conditioning plant

•To ensure that maintenance staff are familiar with the operation, maintenance and repair of plant and equipment through appropriate training
•To take responsibility for all the maintenance work carried out by the maintenance staff
•To train employees in the use of plant and equipment and maintain appropriate training records
•To carry out any other reasonable task requested by the management

• Qualifications to comply with legislation :-
• City & Guilds Certification in Electrical Regulations (BS7671)
• City & Guilds Certification in F Gas & ODS Regulations
• Qualifications for Competence Include :-
• General Engineering
• Electrical Installations
• Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• Electronics
• PLC & Drive Systems

Compliance to all key responsibilities as stated in the key task list, and as reviewed during the performance management process
