Our Client is recruiting a Civil Engineering, 'part Design-part Project Engineer' for a major project in Aberdeen|
You will be is responsible for ensuring that all design information is understood, challenged( when necessary), managed and communicated effectively to the Management team to ensure the production of works is carried out.
Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Autocad and other construction design suites will be necessary. Have extensive experience identifying technical challenges and solutions within the designs
Working seamlessly with the Project Manager, Construction Manager and Commercial Manager to deliver a large and complex civils package, you will be responsible for developing a positive environment for the delivery of all aspects of earthworks, ground engineering, structural and civil engineering works.
Interpreting and managing the flow of designs.
Creating and managing a document and design system
Communicating with designers, contractors, and management regarding all aspects of the technical drawings
On site you will perform a Project Engineer duties acting as Senior to all Setting Out Engineers. However you will be expected to contribute towards:
Setting out lines and levels for structures, roads, drainage and earthworks, works of proposed concrete frame building.
Setting out profile boards for new grain system, manholes, gullys, pump stations, interceptors.
Setting out road pins with levels for all type of kerbs and road edges.
Compiling information for H&S reports, e.g. incidents, lost time
Ensure that all duties carried out by the site engineers are correctly completed
Produce and/or manage those producing all method statements and risk assessments according to proposed works.
Ensure properties of materials used in line with design and specifications
Analysing and evaluating shift reports. Reporting progress, hours worked, materials, track records on materials delivered (compiling delivery notes), spoil disposal etc. Compiling the daily site report and other relevant documentation.
Responsible for quality management of all works including survey works, control of excavation line and tolerances and all productivity on site.
HNC / HND / BENG (Civil Engineering)
Levelling experience using Leica and/or trimble equipment including robotics.
This role is key in keeping the Project Manager fully informed of construction progress including any changes to the working environment
