Our client is a national award winning civil engineering contractor identified by most principal contractors as their contractor of choice when delivering major construction-based civil engineering packages. They are always keen to grow their footprint in the Aderdeenshire market by aligning themselves with key developers in Major Energy, Build and Government projects. A key conduit in making this happen is their Management Team. Within that team, they are actively seeking a Project Manager to join their ambitious team.
You will have a UK degree in Civil Engineering and have committed your career to developing your knowledge of the design, bidding and technical elements of securing civil engineering work. This includes attending courses in civil design, have a strong understanding and history of contributing towards the securing of civil engineering and structures projects, as well as the capability of forging links with local authorities, principal contractors, investment bodies and developers.
You should possess a full, rounded understanding of most Modelling software used to interface with the desiagn and project engineers on site in creating and presenting solutions to engineering challanges faced and be able to bring each element of departments contributing towards a project together successfully.
You will be an ambitious, highly driven professional with a keen eye on key sectors of civil engineering within Scotland.
Key Tasks and Activities:
Create and develop strong Client and Consultant relationships through day to day communicatons and meetings on site,
Manage the delivery team including contributing towards forward programming
Have a thorough engineering mind when analysing drawings, plans and delivery schedules. Have a strong and respected man management style to gain by-in from those involved in executing the programme. Assist in setting up site paperwork systems and recruit key personnel to help deliver the quality and value engineering standards our client and you should possess.
Empower leadership on site through engagement with workforce.
Where possible, identify and nurture future talent on site through our clients upskilling and L+D department.
Chair site meetings with teams on site and report weekly meetings in HQ.
Ensure all management systems within the business are adhered to and enforced throughout all staff and contractors on site and internally.
