Our client is a highly successful construction company based in West Yorkshire who, due to continued growth, is seeking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their established and friendly team.|
Working for the specialist roofing and cladding division, project exposure will be diverse and include retail outlets, offices, manufacturing, schools, universities, hospitals and public buildings.
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator reporting to the Senior Estimator and Delivery Team, you will be responsible for preparing all costs and estimates for tenders and current projects, and ensuring all relevant documentation is maintained and updated as appropriate.
Whilst it is not essential that you are an experienced Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator, you will have knowledge and experience of the commercial process of a scheme, from costing through to final account, and an understanding of 'the basics' in terms of submission of valuations and final accounts to the client, commercial reporting and assessing accruals and dealing with subcontractors should this be required.
You will be a driven person who is willing to take ownership of your schemes (with the support of the team) and ultimately to own the commercial process within the business.
The company pride themselves on operating an open, positive, 'no politics' environment where the culture is one of rewarding hard work and commitment. They are a forward thinking business that offer flexibility, a pleasant working environment, and competitive benefits package.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to further their career with a forward thinking organisation. It would ideally suit someone with a minimum of two years relevant industry experience who is looking for a career path which may not currently be open to them
