Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Sheffield
Salary expectation: £33-44k depending on experience + £7k car allowance + package

Projects will consist of medium to low risk healthcare projects with each project having a max value of circa £5m.

Responsibilities of the position

Delivery: Ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time and in a manner that enhances company reputation for quality. Works closely with management and team to ensure commercial services both support and meet the project plan / delivery objectives.

Relationship: Frequent contacts internally and externally, much of which requires influencing and negotiating skills to be used. Establishes and maintains relationships with colleagues, customers and consultants. Proactively seeks and gives feedback, guidance and support where appropriate. Identifies with customers and their needs. Challenges and questions

Commercial & Technical: Good working knowledge of all technical aspects of role. Systematic and analytical in approach. Provide technical input at any stage of a project life cycle. Seek guidance from specialist or support services (e.g. CST) where required.

Procedural: Has a thorough working knowledge of operating systems and company policy and procedures with (and is fully aware of) particular emphasis on mandatory requirements applicable to role. Proactively raises / resolves non-compliance issues through self-audit

Reporting: Prepares and communicates information timely, accurately with logic and clarity (orally or in writing) consistently formatted within established business guidelines. Presents with confidence. Able to relate to consultants, customers, management and team members. Communicates and consults as needed. Prepared and able to state their point of view when required and uses feedback to support argument. Retains objectivity. Listens to viewpoint of others

Candidate Experience needed
• Capable of advising, giving guidance or instruction to a small team
• NEC Contract experience
• Moderate Pressure required to meet externally fixed targets.
• Consistent application in related work. Strong and positive attitude.
• Manages self and technical / clerical staff as assigned to meet objectives on schedule.
• Minimum 2 years post graduate experience
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate Min: 2/2 BSc Hons RICS accredited Degree.
