Locations: - M20/M23 Crawley
Contract Length: - 3 months (possible extension)
Rates: - up to £250/day depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
We are currently seeking Section Engineers to work on the upgrade works of the M20/23 project for Carillion Construction. You will be site based and be responsible for technical supervision of the engineers. This project has works for the next 2-3 years.
Responsibilities and Role requirements:
*Highways and civils experience
*Checking Designs/ plans/ drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
*Setting levels and drainage
*Providing technical advice
*Surveying the site
*Produce documentation on work performance were required.
*Deal with site problems to ensure that the project remains on plan.
*To at all times be aware of the value / cost of the materials they are using and to adopt a sustainable approach.
*Experience in using Robotic/GPS/Total Station
*Carrying out risk assessment and method statement.
*Dealing with ground workers and checking of work on the project
*Report to Senior Engineer for related section.
*Good understanding of traffic Management
*Awareness of the interface of highways operations and maintenance.
*Understanding of road space and activities.
You must have significant experience in highways and civils projects with a minimum degree qualification in Civil Engineering or an equivalent, SMSTS and a CSCS card.
