We are looking for a candidate with experience as a 3rd Line Technical Engineer to join a well-respected, expanding IT Company. Our Client is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with excellent communication skills to provide support to a range of clients. This role offers excellent future career prospects and ongoing training and support.|
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing 3rd line support to a range of clients throughout the UK, and you will also have sole responsibility for providing 3rd line remote and onsite support to a VIP client based in London. Full responsibilities are still to be confirmed, but will likely include;
*Configuration of desktop/server hardware installations and builds.
*Maintain and implement virtualisation, server, back-up and storage systems.
*VMware support, rollouts and testing.
*Work on issues escalated from Tier 2 engineers.
*Troubleshoot IP Telephony related faults and restore service within SLA's.
*Network monitoring, raising and managing faults.
*Build and maintain working relationships with key customers and act as key engineer.
*Call logging, network IP phones, desktop trouble-shooting and anti-virus.
*Occasionally attend UK customer sites when remote support is not suitable or has been exhausted.
The successful candidate will need previous experience in a 3rd line technical support role with IT skills to include VMware, Microsoft Operating Systems, Servers, Exchange, TCP/IP desktop and networking, and ideally have SCCM knowledge, however this is not essential. You will be able to work well unsupervised and be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
