Location - Nuneaton, Warwickshire
Salary - £37,555 + Pension
Shift Pattern - Mornings/Afternoons/Nights - will move onto continental days/nights in September
ATA Recruitment is currently working with a highly successful materials handling business who employ nearly 2000 people in the UK, with a huge £450million turnover they have grown tremendously over the last few years and are currently building a brand new super-depo to add to their already impressive 26 depos in the UK.
Their Nuneaton site consists of a fully automated distribution system which includes equipment such as conveyors and sortation machinery. They currently have a maintenance team of six engineers and need to grow the team in order to move onto a continental shift pattern which will allow them to implement a new planned maintenance system improving the efficiency of the site further.

The role of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will involve:
For the first few months the position will be working mornings/afternoons & nights on 8 hour shifts, however this will move to a continental shift pattern which will either be 4 on 4 off days/nights or 2's and 3's 2 weeks of days, 2 weeks of nights.
You will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical maintenance of all forms of materials handling machinery on site including sortation machines and conveyors.
Diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues.
Stripping down machines and re-building them.
Replacing worn out mechanical parts such as bearings and sprockets.
Electrical work includes fault finding on control panels, changing inverters and drives, monitoring PLC system.
The role will be fairly reactive to start with however when the new PPM schedule is implemented the site will become much more proactive.
To be successful as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will need:
An electrical qualification e.g. Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HNC, ONC
Experience working in any kind of PLC controlled environment e.g. FMCG, Food, Distribution, Automotive, Aggregates, Pharmaceuticals etc.
Happy to move onto a continental shift pattern after a few months.
