Electrical C&I Commissioning Engineer with Water industry experience required on a permanent salaried basis. The role is to Commission Water and Effluent treatment plant ensuring that all contractual activities are completed and documented for acceptance of the plant by the client.|
This client HO is based in Yorkshire.
Amongst other duties, in this role you will primarily be responsible for the electrical C&I commissioning of plant for water, effluent and air treatment plants. You will co-ordinate the various commissioning activities and ensure that all required test and documentation are completed and recorded and undertake MCC and PLC FATS tests at supplier's premises and ensure FATS test reports are completed. You will undertake MCC and PLC onsite SATS and ensure SATS test reports are completed and undertake pre operational and operational tests on all equipment associated with the plant and ensure test reports are completed.
You will review the design and client specification documentation, to ensure a thorough understanding of commissioning contract requirements and prepare commissioning risk assessments and method statements where necessary to meet CDM and clients requirments. You will monitor the H&S and environmental performance of any subcontractors onsite and undertake 2 weekly safety and environmental audits on site during the commissioning phase.
This is predominantly a site based role necessitating extensive 'working away' including ad hoc weekends/unsocial hours (throughout the UK but international deployment is possible), with attendance at Yorkshire offices as necessary. This is a 'hands on' role, however, there is a requirement for supervisory/administrative aspects. Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 5+ years experience -
i) in a dedicated Commissioning Engineer role preferably on behalf of a (CDM) Principal Contractor
entity within water/process industry sector, and having,
ii) full M&E and C&I capability together with water/wastewater processes
(emphasis is on ECI, however an minimum level of mechanical plant appreciation is necessary, along with some process / RO exp)
iii) LV Electrical experience and competence sufficient to assume management of LV electrical
systems as an 'authorised person'
iv) exposure to/experience of all commissioning aspects
You should also have some if not all of the following -
• Appropriate CSCS or ECS card
• Confined Spaces
• EUSR - National Water Hygiene
• First Aid at Work (3 day)
Salary negotiable on exp level from £35 to £45k + Car + benefits
