My client are leading manufacturer and supplier of chemical products for a variety of industries, and due to a huge growth in sales over the last few months, they are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager/Maintenance Manager for their team. Based in Cambridgeshire, my client have modern manufacturing facilities and a large warehouse which you will responible for maintaining, as well as working with the senior management team to deliver excellent return on CAPEX investment when required.|
As Engineering Manager/Maintenance Manager you will ensure that H&S in the workplace is of the highest priority and is not compromised by any engineering activity, ensuring production has sufficient engineering support including any future requirements. You will organise and ensure planned preventative maintenance schedule is carried out and accurately documents. As Engineering Manager, you will also lead and champion continuous improvement activities, and where required, be available to assist your team in a breakdown situation, including occasional out of hours support.
Ideally you will be an proven man manager, with 2-5 years experience in a similar role, and have demonstrable skills in electrical and mechanical experience. A background in the improvement of OEE, organising engineering stores and team development would also be a definite requirement. If you have a background in contractor management, CAPEX and improvement projects would also be hugely beneficial.
Electrical and Mechanical skills are a must, so qualifications in both areas would be preferred - apprenticeships, C&G's or HND's are all considered. You will have experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC's and mechatronics, and be able to demonstrate experience in the improvement of both existing and new plant. Management experience is essential
