The Role & Duties
You will be fully up to date and understand the Quality Assurance systems, policies and procedures, as well as having experience and being confident with writing up procedures. You will be responsible for taking ownership if the company Quality Management system to comply with the BS/EN/ISO standards, along with other accreditations.
You will also be expected to partake in the following duties:-
- Implement and maintain DNV, TUV and other approvals on top of the existing ISO 9001 systems
- Update and create document procedures for the Quality Management Procedures
- Co-ordinate the internal Audit system
- Carry our Quality System Audits in accordance with the companies Audit schedules
Co-ordinate external Audits/visits by customers and 3rd party approved bodies
- Manage Non-Conformance reposts, arising from internal & external sources
- Liaise with action owner for timely completion & agreed timeframes
- Prepare and report on Department monthly performance data
- Assist with product testing & certification
Experience and Qualifications
You will be a qualified auditor with experience of internal and external audits and you will hold a HND or equivalent in and Engineering discipline with experience of working within a QA Engineer role. Ideally you will have knowledge of industrial manufacturing, being able to demonstrate the ability to drive through production related improvement projects and be able to solve them. You will also have experience in the use of quality tools.
You will have worked in an engineering environment, able to work well under pressure unsupervised, as well as being an effective team member. You will have a flexible approach to work, and be able to prioritise workloads. You will have good communication skills and be confident in liaising with other departments in the company, as well as clients.
£20k - £25k per annum dependant on qualifications, skills and experience
