Your new role
You'll be providing engineering support to all customers in your area and acting as an advisor both internally and externally on equipment functionality and quality. You'll support & maintain customer existing equipment and trouble shoot problems. You'll be fully familiar with all equipment and processes at customer sites. The job is home based and will cover the UK south of Leicester, plus some work occasionally on the Continent, therefore a current UK passport and driving licence are essential. Also, cover will be required from time to time for the rest of the UK and Ireland, along with regular visits to the workshop and office. This means that stays away from home will be necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll have experience of working hands on within a FMCG production/manufacturing environment (ideally food production). You'll hold an ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in an electrical and/or mechanical discipline. You must also hold the 17th Edition electrical certificate. You'll be fully competent with fault-finding on PLCs (Mitsubishi/Allen Bradley). You'll have demonstrable practical knowledge of mechanical and pneumatic maintenance and a clear understanding of health & safety procedures. This role involves constant interaction with customers so you'll be an excellent communicator with strong relationship building skills. You'll have an autonomous approach to work and be able to manage your own time effectively.
