Job Title: Gas Engineer
General Description OF ROLE
To achieve all targets/KPIs set by the business for the compliance services within your skills and capabilities
To ensure that all technical procedures are fully adhered to, ensuring compliance with current legislation at all times.
To complete and submit all documentation as required by the company.
To carry out work programmes in line with Planning Officer/Lead Operative's instructions and Q.A. procedure manual ISO 9002
To adhere to all procedures in accordance with current British Standards and company Procedure Manuals.
To represent the Company in a professional manner, particularly when on customer's premises in terms of dress, attitude and work practices.
To comply to all company policies and procedures
To safeguard all equipment issued by the company. Do not leave company/hire equipment unattended on site or in your vehicle at any time.
To ensure that your test machine is in calibration date and in good working condition.
To complete and submit all paperwork weekly, on time and accurately.
To seek opportunities to introduce the Company's products/services to existing and/or potential customers.
To work a minimum of 37.5 hours a week on site aiming to achieve KPIs
To adhere to all Health & Safety at Work Regulations, Risk Assessments, The companies Health & Safety Policies
To participate with call out Rota for reactive requirements
At least 2 years relevant post qualification experience.
Working knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Umbrella Legislation.
Basic IT skills
Current ACS qualifications
Working knowledge of GSIUR
City & Guilds Plumbing & Heating Level 2&3
Domestic & commercial Gas qualifications are essential
Oil, LPG, and COMCAT 1 - 5 qualifications highly desirable.
Any other additions such as vehicle / phone / laptop: Vehicle & Phone supplied
Annual Leave 20 days leave per annum
Minimum of 3 days shut down at Christmas
statutory bank holidays
Long service additions accrue after 10 years service at the rate of one extra day per year until a maximum of 25 days per annum is reached excepting the Christmas shut down and statutory entitlement
Reviews An annual review will be held to review salary and performance
Interim reviews can be requested by either Postholder or the Company if required
To able to work away from home or weekends from time to time and to be available for possible evening work.
To have the support of a spouse or partner in respect of irregular working hours and working away from home.
To have home telephone, preferably also having a mobile phone and internet access
To be physically fit enough to carry out the physical demands of the job.
To meet the requirements of an enhanced criminal records disclosure
To be able to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
To demonstrate an understanding and acceptance of equality and diversity in the workplace
