Preetha Sampath is recruiting for a Material Control Supervisor to work within a manufacturing environment for a Materials (Composites) company that manufacture a range of industrial fabrics and materials. The Material Control Supervisor will work on their site in Leicester on a contract basis for 12 months.|
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
•Material support resources are available as required and effectively managed.
•Manufacturing Order data integrity.
•Work in progress stock accuracy
•All KPIs are prepared and updated as required.
•Support and contribution to departmental projects.
•Matters of serious non-conformance in any area are escalated in real time.
•Management of staff is in line with the company policy on Human Resources and Health and Safety.
•Management of Plant Waste streams and associated service providers.
•To contribute / lead Improvement projects as required.
•Effective management of the warehouse staff allocated to the "Factory Service" roles.
•The material flow from the warehouses to the factory is efficient and conducted in a timely manner.
•Any material shortages, are escalated in real time and resolved with the appropriate personnel.
•System non-conformities are investigated and corrective actions implemented.
•Close liaison with Shift Managers in order to maximize Production Planning efficiency and manage change in real time.
•Management of Production Consumable materials ( Stitch Yarn, Tracers, Packaging, Beams, Labels etc )
•Finished goods and raw material returns are transacted accurately and packaged according to the specification.
The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:
-Experience in Supply Chain / Logistics and ERP systems.
-Previous experience of managing a team
-Demonstrated history of Improvement / Lean projects would be a significant advantage
