Job Title: Multi Skilled Facilities Technician
Location: Towcester, Northamptonshire
Salary: £23,000 - £25,000
Our client, who are a market leader in the supply of electronic equipment to the defence sector, now require a Multi Skilled Facilities Technician to provide full facilities management services to their site in Towcester.
•To provide facilities services support to all of the companies UK sites.
•Undertake minor installation works and repairs to building fabric to include plumbing, carpentry, decorating, metalwork, mechanical fitting and minor electrical works.
•Support planned and reactive support to all site M&E systems.
•Ensure that HVAC systems and domestic water systems are maintained to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
•Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are adhered to for all tasks carried out to ensure safe working practices.
•Ensure that any site engineering subcontractors are appropriately supervised, and comply with contractual commitments and sites operating processes as and when required.
•Partake in regulatory site chemical and environmental inspections.
•Maintaining a variety of records associated with the company's assets.
•Understanding fire safety regulations, Health and Safety regulations, emergency procedures and the rules of evacuation.
•Provide general housekeeping and maintenance services for all common areas.
•Other general facilities duties as and when required such as site vehicles / waste and chemical control etc.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and requirements
•A highly motivated individual with a can do' attitude
•Knowledge of industrial manufacturing plant and production systems, including automated equipment, pumps, compressed air and extraction systems
•Computer literate and competent using Microsoft Office Systems
•Proactive, self-motivated and ability to manage and prioritise workload
•Experienced skill base of general site services requirements
•Awareness of compliance requirements to safety and environmental legislations
•Full, clean UK driving license
