My client are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join a successful and established company with a strong support infrastructure and great career opportunities with long term security.

An appropriate degree is required, and whilst they would prefer Chartered Engineer status, they are more interested in your experience. SER registration will definitely escalate your application to the top, again though, this is by no means a pre-requisite of the role.

You will join a team of positive, like-minded engineers working with a varied client portfolio dealing with anything from single home extensions to structural foundation works on full developments. Our clients include major housebuilders, nursing homes, Local Authorities, power and energy companies.

With a substantial and varied workload, you will work with an existing client group to service their ongoing requirements, and with full support, assist with the planned development and growth of the company.

You'll need to have a pleasant, professional manner with great communication and people skills. A real team player, you'll demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, have a can-do attitude and be passionate in your commitment to the company. Ambitious and self-motivated you'll be expected to consistently deliver high levels of quality work with meticulous attention to detail.

Main aspects of the role can be summed up as follows -

•Supervise and carry out structural design reviews and SER Certifications.
•Conduct site inspections and surveys.
•Delivering projects to the company's standards and procedures from inception to completion.
•Liaise with clients, contractors, local authorities and stake holders.
•Direct involvement in company growth strategies and implementation.
•Manage direct reports, mentor and develop the careers of junior engineers.

You will have a full UK driving licence for getting around sites and clients, and whilst they ask that you have your own vehicle, they pay generous business mileage. There may be occasions where overnight stays will be necessary, naturally they will cover all of the expenses in such cases.

You will have experience with the full MS office suite and be conversant with standard design packages such as AutoCAD, CSC Fastrak, Tedds, S-Frame
