This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of FastTrack who are operating as an employment business.

FastTrack Management Services are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a rapidly expanding property consultancy who are currently looking to recruit a Property Assistant to join their PRS & Estate Management Department based in Birmingham.

The role will predominantly involve supporting the Property Managers and dealing with the day to day management of blocks of flats and commercial properties, mostly within the West Midlands however my client does operate on a national level. You will also be required to provide support to the Risk Management Department. This department is rapidly growing mainly with new build schemes, but also with the taking over existing management.

Experience of working within a similar role is preferred but not essential.

The role includes but is not limited to the following duties:

+Block and commercial property management.
+Reporting to Inspectors or Managers as appropriate.
+Responding promptly to incoming correspondence, by letter, fax or email.
+Processing efficiently all incoming telephone calls on dedicated support line or via reception/colleagues.
+Dealing with visitors to the office.
+Operating a call logging system, works order system and maintaining a register of works.
+Effective diary and task management.
+Negotiating various routine maintenance contracts.
+Agreeing necessary maintenance works.
+Placing and monitoring necessary service contracts
+Instigating various requirements over and above routine maintenance.
+Ensuring works are completed within reasonable timescales and to a satisfactory degree.
+Arranging property visits, when necessary.
+Lodging insurance claims and assisting with the claims process.
+Liaising with local authorities to ensure planning consent and permits are obtained, where necessary.
+Being part of an active staff team and adhering to all company policies and procedures.
