Additional Works Manager required to manage the timely delivery of the Additional Works (Project) programme for area of remit, ensuring a high quality output and that all works are delivered within budget.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
Manage the service delivery of all Additional Works in accordance with Government Regulatory and Statutory undertakings, complying with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and policies.
Confer with the client to agree scope & priorities of work and review management of Additional Works on a regular basis.
Ensure appropriate work plans and budgets are in place to achieve programmes and financial commitments, whilst meeting the changing operational need.
Support and develop Supply Chain relationships to ensure suitably qualified and experienced operatives are directed to relevant tasks to successfully deliver Additional Works.
Ensure all documentation relating to Additional Works is completed and distributed in a timely manner and recorded against the appropriate assets in the WorkManager system and provide up to date detail to Land & Asset Management Services.
Lead the identification of risk and develop management processes for Additional Works containing appropriate measures to mitigate the impact.
Identify opportunities on establishments that will support the clients carbon reduction targets. Lead Additional Works to incorporate sustainable solutions and support the sustainability agenda.
Act as an interface to the client and end user representatives on all Additional Works activities within area of responsibility.
Acknowledge compliments and resolve complaints in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Communicate and promote Additional Works participation in supfport of external accreditations and initiatives that are important to the company and relevant stakeholders
Organise and motivate a diverse and mobile team of professionals ensuring that their objectives and performance jointly deliver the requirements of Additional Works on the contract
Ensure the management, recruitment, motivation and development of staff and operatives, to deliver the agreed level of service with an appropriate base of suitably skilled and qualified people
Ensure the efficient operation of an agreed system of reporting of the physical and financial progress of Additional Works, including planned milestone payments
Plan, direct and co-ordinate Additional Works activities ensuring effectiveness and value for money
Monitor and review Supply Chain performance, notify Management of any issues and, where required, attend Supply Chain reviews to discuss performance
Work closely with all stakeholders to support the management and mitigation of contract risk

You must hold an Associate Member of a relevant professional body (e.g. APM) and a Degree in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering related discipline or equivalent experience. You will need to hold a current H&S and Environmental qualification at a management level (e.g. SMSTS)

You must have demonstrable experience of managing and supervising staff in Project Management including:
Leading an operational team to achieve KPIs
Stakeholder management
Management of costs
Planning, directing and controlling activities
Proactive performance management of Supply Chain
A general manager with experience of leading multi-site operations, including:
Planning, directing and controlling activities
Agreeing scope and priorities of work
Implementation of HR procedures, incl. Disciplinary, Grievance, Capability

You must be fully IT literate (Word, excel, Outlook etc.) and have excellent communication skills.

A driving licence is required as there may be travel to other sites.
