Maintenance Manager
West Midlands
Permanent | £42,500 - £47,500 + Car Allowance + Pension

A new permanent role for a Maintenance Manager has arisen in the West Midlands; you will be working for a public sector service covering the West and East Midlands. Suitable applicants will have experience managing Building Surveyor and Engineers and a working knowledge of the public sector, be customer focused, IT literate and preferably have a formal qualification in terms of a HNC/D and ideally have a professional membership e.g. MRICS/CIBSE/CIOB/MCABE.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

•To have overall management responsibility and provide both strategic and operational lead to ensure the effective management of the Maintenance Surveyor teams.
•To lead and manage the surveyors/engineers, co-ordinating the activities of staff and resources to ensure that client obligations are met with regard to maintenance programmes.
•Bring new business in for the service.
•Provision of a high quality, professional liaison, advice support and maintenance design service for all building condition and engineering related property matters.
•Be client facing and help aid with the strategic direction of the organisation.
•Monitor service agreements and Establish and monitor KPI's.

The required qualifications/experience:

•3 5 years' experience, leadership and management of Property Management services in a multi-site environment.
•Professional qualification e.g.: Post graduate management qualification e.g. MBA, DMA or demonstrable sufficient previous experience
•Relevant professionally recognised qualification within appropriate property related field (e.g. BSC / HNC / HND.
•Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. R.I.C.S., C.I.O.B., C.I.B.S.E., MCABE.
•Excellent organisational, people, project management and used to working with large complex budgets.
