We are seeking an energetic Software Developer to take on an exciting role within our busy team. Reporting to the Development Manager, this role will be a hands-on position working on various different products, collaborating with the team to develop, support, test and maintain these products.
You will have the opportunity to work on full life cycle using agile methodologies. The individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment, solving complex problems.
The role itself is very varied and will entail:
-Writing high quality, reusable, efficient code.
-Managing time between multiple ongoing activities.
-Understanding requirements and proactively suggesting improvements.
-Providing regular progress updates to internal customers and the development manager.
-Defining and agreeing upon realistic estimates for tasks.
-Highlighting issues and risks and assisting in finding solutions.
-Ensuring source control and coding standards and procedures are followed.
-Minimum of 2 years' experience in software application development.
VB dot net OR C# skills with experience in Windows Forms, Web Forms (and MVC framework a bonus)
-Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills.
-Experience of source control and ticketing systems.
-Agile/Scrum/Kanban development process exposure.
-Use of TFS and/or Team Support.
-Ability to write unit tests.
-Knowledge of developing responsive web applications.
